Air India was Founded in 1932 and
was nationalized in 1953 becoming India's national airline. It is of
note that Air India became the world's first all-jet airline in 1962 and
currently operates a mixed fleet of Airbus and Boeing airliners but
plans to become an all Boeing fleet in the near future although it is
still considering the Airbus A380 as an exception. Air India is one of the two state-owned airlines in the
country, the other being Indian Airline. Air India flies to both
