about the Airbus A320-232
Airbus Industrie was formed as a
consortium of European aviation firms in 1967 when the British, French
and German governments signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop a
new European airliner, the Airbus A300. Today Airbus and Boeing dominate
the Worlds airliner production, the largest airliner in production for
many decades has been the "Jumbo-Jet" Boeing 747 series, but the new
Airbus A380, due to enter service during 2007, is even bigger and is already
being referred to as the "Super-jumbo".
The Airbus A320 is a twin
engined, single aisle airliner seating 180 passengers, the aircraft
first flew on the 22nd February 1987 and has since proven to be an
outstanding commercial success Airbus Industrie.

BMI was founded in 1938 as Air
Schools Ltd, in 1964 it changed its name to British Midland Airways
(BMA), in February 2001 British Midland Airways joined the Star Alliance
and re-named it's self bmi british midland following the 30% acquisition
of British Midland Airways by Lufthansa. BMI's airliner fleet consists of Airbus, Boeing and Embraer airliners.
