Boeing was incorporated in
Washington by William E. Boeing on 15th of July 1916, as “Pacific Aero
Products Co.” and was re-named the “Boeing Airplane Company” on the 9th of
May 1917. Today Boeing has become the Worlds largest manufacturer of
airliners with only Airbus as significant or major competitor.
The Boeing 777 series are a
twin-engined long-range wide-bodied airliner based on the existing Boeing
767 capable of carrying between 301 and 368 passengers, it first entered
service as the 200 series in May 1995, the ER variants have have
"extended-range". The Boeing 777-300 series is a 200 series airframe
stretched by an additional 10.1 m giving a similar capacity to the older
747 100 and 200 series airliners.

Emirates Airline was founded
in 1985 by the Dubai government. Emirates has a mixed fleet of Airbus and
Boeing aircraft. It is of note that Emirates has ordered 43 of the new
giant Airbus A380-800 airliners.
