Information about the Boeing 737-530

Boeing was created by William E. Boeing on 15th of July 1916, as the “Pacific Aero Products Co.” and was re-named the “Boeing Airplane Company” on the 9th of May 1917. Today Boeing is the Worlds largest manufacturer of airliners with only Airbus remaining as significant or major competitor.

The Boeing 737 airliner first flew in April 1967 and continued in production for thirteen years with little change until the introduction of the totally redesigned 300 series aircraft. The Boeing 737-500 series are powered by twin CFM56-3 turbofan engines and is effectively a shortened 737-300 series aircraft.

Information about Lufthansa

Deutsche Lufthansa AG was created in Berlin during 1926 as the Deutsche Luft Hansa Aktiengesellschaft following the merger of "Junkers Luftverkehr" and "Deutsche Aero Lloyd". At the outbreak of WW11 Lufthansa had become one of the world's largest airlines. During WW11 services were seriously curtailed and totally ceased following Germany's defeat until 1953.

Today Lufthansa having merged with the Swiss airline SWISS in October 2005, is a major international airline Lufthansa currently operates a large mixed fleet of Boeing and Airbus airliners and has ordered 15 Airbus A380 "Super-jumbo" airliners.
