Airbus Industrie began as a
consortium of European aviation firms in 1967 when British, French and
German governments signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop the
first Airbus airliner the Airbus A300. Today Airbus and Boeing dominate
the Worlds airliner production, the largest airliner in production for
many decades has been the Boeing 747 Jumbo series but the new Airbus
A380, due to enter service in 2007 is larger and has already been
nicknamed the "Superjumbo".
The Airbus A320 is a twin
engined, single aisle medium sized passenger airliner seating 180, the aircraft first
flew on the 22nd February 1987.

about Air France
Air France was formed in
October 1933 and nationalized in 1946 becoming the national airline of
France, in February 1999 Air France was privatised and in September 2003
merged with KLM forming the Air France-KLM Group becoming one of the
largest airlines in the world. Air France is unfortunately probably best
known for the world's most notorious air-crash when Air France Concorde
Flight 4590 crashed in Gonesse, France, on the 25th of July 2000 after
having it's tyres ruptured on take-off by a piece of a titanium thrust
reverser fallen from a Continental Airlines DC-10 just a few minutes
earlier which was left on the runway.
